One Ingredient: Naturally Whiten Teeth + Boost Oral Health

I know many hands are being raised right now! Traditional white strips cause extreme tooth and gum sensitivity. I remember when I used to use these little devils––just breathing would cause sharp pain into my gums. Want to eat something cold or hot? Forget-a-bout-it!

I gave up white strips cold turkey about 5 years ago––I just couldn't take how they made my mouth feel. So I started researching natural ways to whiten teeth. I stumbled across this term called "Oil Pulling" and I had to know more!

Anytime I read about a remedy that has been around for thousands of years I get very intrigued.

Oil pulling is the act of swishing oil around your mouth for 20 minutes (I read specifically about coconut oil pulling).

What got me? By simply oil pulling 20 minutes a day you can improve your gum health and can whiten your teeth **SCORE!***

It's actually very simple:

If you have ever felt coconut oil, it has a somewhat sticky consistency. So when you are swishing it around in your mouth, it finds it's way into all of those little nooks and crannies that your toothbrush can't reach. Then the "nasties" cling to it's stickiness. The coconut oil can pull out toxins, remnants of food, and bacteria.

You know those hot sauce commercials that say, "I put that sh*t on everything!" that's how I feel about coconut oil...and then some.

I put it on my skin, on my hair, and in my food––so it just makes sense that I would put it on my teeth! Coconut oil is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial which is perfect for oral health.

Note: Always use raw, organic, and unrefined coconut oil for your oil pulling.

I know that 20 minutes feels like an eternity––but I always do a morning activity while I oil pull. Like getting my breakfast ready, read my current motivational book, start the laundry, etc. It goes by really quick when you keep busy!
