I don’t always wear a red lip—but when I do it’s because @frizzandfrillzz came to town to celebrate an early 4th of July on the beach 🙌🏻🌊🇺🇸

Our bodies can create a human life—that’s still mind blowing to me🤯 We start our once-a-week doctor appointments tomorrow and it’s all becoming so much more real.

He could really come any day and I’m incredibly nervous and equally excited!

My whole world will soon be in the form of a chubby-cheeked little boy who hopefully has his daddy’s heart and mommy’s spirit❤️

He let our baby boy’s name slip to 3 more people last week—may need to tape his mouth shut for the next month 🙄 #butstillloveyou

Very bittersweet day today. We are 5 weeks away from meeting our baby boy (yay!) but it's the first day of my wedding maternity leave for the rest of summer😔 **I'm not crying you're crying!!**😭⁣

I have captured 5 unforgettable weddings this season so far with my baby boy along for the ride and beside my rockstar hubby and our @bettertogetherphotowi team. I cannot begin to describe the love, support, and kind-heartedness I've received this season from our couples––especially our brides. ⁣

I can honestly say I've walked away with some lifelong friendships after the weddings this year so far––between the couples, their friends, and families––we now have so many new beautiful bonds and relationships. @mikefordphoto and I are so grateful for this!!⁣

While our team will do an INCREDIBLE job while I'm away snuggling our baby boy and healing, I will be missing the rest of our summer couples terribly. I can't wait to see the magic the team creates for them and to watch all of them start their lives together. ⁣

Hoping to be able to get back into things in fall and praying for quick healing and ultimately a happy and healthy Ford home. ⁣

I dropped a bunch of cabbage on the floor at the grocery store the other day—I handed it to the worker next to me and said “hey! Sorry I dropped this on the floor, I don’t know what you do with it then?” *as I started to hand it to him*⁣

He looked at me and laughed. He said, “Oh, that produce has gone through WAYYY worse on the way to getting here—tons of hands, bugs, all sorts of stuff. You can just put it back—it’s fine.”⁣

That conversation will forever be stamped in my brain 😅. I always wash produce and I try to buy local as much as possible (less hands on the food and not transported as many times). I love using the @youngliving veggie soak and spray!🌿🍠🍎🍇🍓🥕🥒

Everyone keeps telling me I need to take these last weeks of pregnancy to pamper myself, relax, and de-stress—it’s like they know some little thing is coming that is going to take all my time/sleep/and energy?? Weird. 😂⁣

I’m trying, people, I really am!!⁣ (Lillie clearly has it down ❤️🐶)

I just hate sitting still and cant stand things moving slow (ask my husband and our contractors😅 it’s never moving fast enough for me!)⁣
⁣
I always feel like I need to be either working on the business, prepping meals, running errands, or doing SOMETHING or I feel guilty that I’m not being “productive”.⁣
⁣
But what does that non-stop GO-GO-GO state and fear of disappointing others lead to? ⁣
⁣
Lemme tell ya!! It’s overwhelm, anxiety, sleep deprivation, and usually a big burnout.⁣
⁣
I’m told that once our little man is here my mindset and lifestyle will completely shift. I will be so engulfed in his world and will have a completely different outlook on life. While that kind of scares me—I’m really looking forward to experience this life shift.⁣
⁣
My goal is continue to find the strength to take care of myself—because while stopping to take care of yourself seems like an easy task, it’s always been very low on my priority list and doesn’t really fit my personality.⁣
⁣
But we can’t pour from an empty glass, can we? ❤️

I like my relationships like I like my food—non toxic, fueling, healing, always something to look forward to, and there to comfort me when I need a lil pick me up! 🙃🙌🏻🌿

Mike has been encouraging me to take some maternity photos for awhile now and I am so glad he talked me into it! I had a little trouble adjusting to my pregnancy body when my belly "popped" and had a hard time embracing my new body. But with his help, I've actually become obsessed with my baby bump. ⁣

He tells me every day he thinks I've become more beautiful as I've gotten bigger and I genuinely feel very beautiful in my skin right now––also very exhausted and sore in my skin––but still beautiful nonetheless! 😂 ⁣

We are at 34 weeks and while my body can't push as hard as it used to––I’m learning that the hard way––I'm loving what this body has created for me and my husband. Definetly not taking these last weeks of tummy time with my baby boy for granted and am TRYING to listen to this new body that is pretty much screaming at me to rest and take it easy! 💙 Praying every day for a happy, healthy little boy.

“Holistic” and “dentist”—never thought I would see those two words together available in our area! 🦷 Wisconsin can be pretty behind the times with some of this stuff!!⁣

I’m so grateful we found a local dentist that practices more natural techniques for oral hygiene! They do not use any mercury fillings or other metal for treatments like bridges. They use “Drill-less” dentistry that can treat early-stage tooth decay, ozone dentistry that treats oral infections using only oxygen and water, and so many other natural techniques I’m totally on board with!!🙌🏻⁣

Dr. Reinhard Voll, a German physician, who studied the relationship between oral and physical health for over 40 years, estimated that 80% of human disease was related either directly or indirectly to the oral cavity.🤯 Oral health is so much more important than we can imagine.⁣

We haven’t gone to the new dentist yet, but are setting up an appointment for my postpartum and cannot wait to learn more!⁣

Fingers crossed this changes my views of the dentist—I’ve always dreaded appointments! Pretty sure most of my childhood tears were shed in a dentist’s office 😅

- After a month of dating we got a place in MKE together (after I swore I would NEVER live in the city)⁣

- We combined our photography businesses a few months later (even though we had been building our own brands since college)⁣

- We traveled more places together in the first couple years of dating than I’ve ever been in a lifetime ⁣
⁣
- We battled through some very tough health scares with my colitis and you never left my side ⁣
⁣
- We made drastic lifestyle changes as a team and you were so supportive ⁣
⁣
- We got engaged, married, and you gifted me the world’s most adorable puppy ⁣
⁣
- We moved to the suburbs ⁣
⁣
...and SO much more in between!⁣
⁣
And now you’ve given me one of the greatest gifts in our time together—becoming a mom.⁣ I cannot wait to raise children with you and share all of our adventures with them.

I don’t know what the future has in store for us or our family, but I’m grateful every day that we have each other no matter what. It’s not always easy, but it’s the most amazing feeling knowing we are in this together forever. Many bright years ahead! Happy anniversary (AND FATHER’S DAY), my love! ❤️
